imagination is sparked by an Ethrick Brown Novel. Book with images exploding from it

Read Scottish thrillers with great plots and laugh out loud humour

Billy McDonald ( 1960)

I was in the Gleniffer Cubs from about 1966/7 thanks to Tom Nixon organising this with my Dad.

Then up to the Gleniffer Scouts 1972ish till around 1976. I got presented with our Chief Scouts Award in 1975.

After that moved on to the Arkleston Venture Scouts, and was there till 1982 then a Leader with the Venture Scouts till about 1987.

I remember a new Leader Robert Erskine joined and as always someone else "made the bullets which I (Billy McDonald) fired" and I always got caught.

For his first flag break we rolled up the flag and filled it with hard peas, so when the flag broke........................down they came, much to the falling about laughter of the troop, but got the eyes from Don Noble (he became a paratrooper ) who made me do a bit of exercise after that!

Remember going to two Jamborees at Blair Atholl think it was 1974 & 1976 great weather brilliant camp and met a lot of foreign Scouts. Another great time. My pals were Douglas Hall, Stevie Wallace, Martin Frazer
