I was recently invited to the 75th Birthday celebrations of the 33rd Paisley Gleniffer Scout troop. The Scouts played a massive part in my development and when I was asked to prepare three short articles for inclusion in the Group history project I was more than happy to oblidge.
Remember the days when kids used to walk. So do I. Mmm, I wonder why they don't do it so much now?
I joined the cubs to go to make new pals and go to the local camp but it opened the door to a big wide world.
The scouts weren't just about fun. They instilled the values of friendship, disciplne, responsibility and Leadership. They helped make me the man I am today.
